The Laboratory of Soil Carbon and Microbial Ecology has received a new state assignment project from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The project title is «Mechanisms of Microbial Transformation of Sequestered Carbon in Agricultural Soils» (No. FGUR-2025-0011). The goal of the project is to study the microbiological mechanisms involved in the incorporation and stabilization of sequestered carbon into soil organic matter, as a basis for maintaining the productive and climate-mitigating functions of agricultural soils.
