
Head of the laboratory Mikhail Semenov, Senior Researcher Irina Pinchuk, and Researcher Natalia Ksenofontova participated in the International Workshop on the Distribution, Quality, Use, and Transformation of Mollisols, which took place from July 23 to 27 at the V.B. Sochava Institute of Geography of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Irkutsk. The workshop brought together researchers from scientific institutions in China, Moscow, and Irkutsk, including the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Northeast Agricultural University, the Dokuchaev Soil Science Institute, Irkutsk State University, and the V.B. Sochava Institute of Geography SB RAS.

Laboratory staff presented the following reports: «Linkages between soil organic matter and microbiome in black soils of the European part of Russia» and «The effect of chemical and biological fungicides against apple scab on the fungal communities in a black soil». These presentations featured results from the Laboratory’s research carried out under state assignments No. FGUR-2022-0018 and No. FGUR-2025-0011.
