Head of the laboratory Mikhail Semenov and Junior Researcher Maria Alekseeva took part in the International Conference on Increased Terrestrial Ecosystem Carbon Sequestration and Reduced Carbon Emissions Towards Sustainable Development, held from July 7 to 19 in Xi’an, China. The conference gathered researchers from China and other countries, including Russia, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Greece, North Macedonia, Japan, South Korea, and Iran.

Mikhail Semenov made a presentation titled «Linkages between soil organic matter and microbiome in black soils of the European part of Russia», featuring research results from the Laboratory of Soil Carbon and Microbial Ecology conducted under the state assignment No. FGUR-2022-0018 «Investigation of Microbial Drivers of Organic Carbon Sequestration and Storage in Agricultural Soils».
