On October 12-13, 2023, a workshop was held at the All-Russian Research Institute of Agricultural Microbiology in St. Petersburg. The topic of the workshop was "Development and coordination of plans for studying the soil microbiome in the near and long term: from fundamental research to practical applications for agriculture." The meeting was attended by representatives of scientific teams from St. Petersburg State University, the Dokuchaev Soil Science Institute, and the All-Russian Institute of Agricultural Microbiology. The purpose of the workshop was to coordinate research plans, ensure closer cooperation in the field of soil microbiome research, discuss priority research tasks, and formulate immediate and long-term work plans.

Dr. Yulian Farkhodov on "Metabolomics and lipidomics in soil research";
Dr. Azida Tkhakakhova on "New long-term field experience to study the influence of organic composts of varying degrees of fermentation on the microbiome and soil organic matter".
